Maldivian Fashion Burugaa VS Islamic Hijab.

Moderate Islam is much the topic these days.So we all agree Islam is a practical and moderate religion (compared to those other divine religions..but not compared to noreligion-religion,or the new world religion or the vatican's satanist religion)... there is a difference between the saying.."Islam is a moderate religion"...and "a moderate version of Islam"...or 'Enlightened.

Nowadays in Maldives we see a lot of young girls wearing the burugaa...some are drug addicts and almost all get involved in illegal sexual acts...the traditional maldivian version of islamic hijab-burugaa,in dhivehi language- have been modified..every one tries out a different style...but i have found that the ones wearing these burugaaz are worse than the ones not wearing em (in some cases). But this does not mean every one wearing hijab is to be blamed for what some,or most of em do.

Another important point to note, when wearing hijab is...that it has to cover the whole body. to cover means..with opaque clothing..and not revealing the shape of the body (as most maldivians do it)...if it is ok to wear thight clothes with burugaa...the teletubbies are also wearing hijab....and this women (naked and body painted but wearing burugaa) is also wearing the islamic hijab... you can see her all naked..but ..her skin is covered (with paint)..whats the difference??? between her and a maldivian burugeez girl?If you call it an Islamic Hijab..it:::::

1.Must cover and conceal the whole body of her (except the face and hands).

2.The garments should not be so thin or transparent as to reveal her body.

3.The main garment must be a flowing one (ie;the women must avoid tight or clinging clothes which exaggerate or show her figure,or any part of it,such as breasts, legs and arms).

4.Muslim women, in order to safeguard their cultural identity ,are discouraged from imitating the dress of non-muslim women.

5.Inorder to maintain their feminine identity women are forbidden to imitate men in dress.

6.It is necessary to avoid clothes that attract the attention of others.

7.Wearing perfume on clothes either outdoors or when meeting strangers indoors should be avoidedand.

8.The dress of the muslim women must be clean and free from bad odour and dirt.

This is what the "islamic hijab" should be like..(well almost.) So if you think this is extreme gender discrimination..or something like that..just say no to isalm..just say Mohamed (PBUH) was an extremist and get lost!!!!
