Mini-skirt fashion
A young girl in a mini-skirt says to a friend, 'Wouldn't it be great if we could wear skirts like the English Prep school girls!'
She is only worried about one thing - not being able to have her school uniform above her knees.
'It was incredibly hard for her to bend over because of her mini-skirt.'
She wants uniforms as short as evening dresses, fashioned in a way that everyone will notice.
A girl gets off the Viligili ferry and walks towards the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital. Because of her short dress, most of her thighs are exposed.
'... the material was so transparent that you could make out the curves of her body.'
After a while, when she walked up to a group of young boys she began to pull down parts of her dress, stretching it. She tries very hard to lengthen the dress.
Why the hesitation to be in front of others in a mini-skirt, if you choose to wear it?
If instead she wore a dress more suitable for the Maldivian environment, discreet and considered appropriate by Maldivian society, then she would not have to pull at the hem of her dress to feel covered.
A tall girl is in one of the stalls of the Society for Education. Her dress was about a handspan above her knees.
Due to a collision with a child in the stall a paper file in her hand fell to the floor.
It was incredibly hard for her to bend over because of her mini-skirt.
She slowly pushed it behind a desk with her foot and at last picked up the file.
Many people ridiculed her about it and the next evening she wore a shalwar-kameez.
Dressing appropriately for the place and occasion makes you feel comfortable and avoids embarrassment.
A young girl who was watching a weekend show was complaining there were too many men staring at her.
She didn't think about the reason. She was wearing a dress that was shorter than Maldivians usually wear, and the material was so transparent that you could make out the curves of her body.
It is very important to dress in a discreet way to avoid ridicule and suggestive glances from others.
Maldivian society approves of such discretion.

Michael Jackson sued for unpaid vet bills!
Troubled ‘King of pop’ Michael Jackson just can’t seem to keep out of court these days. The singer is being dragged to court yet again, this time for allegedly not paying up his vet bills.Californian vet Martin Dinnes, owner of the Dinnes Memorial Veterinary Hospital helped Jackson build up his impressive menagerie, which includes giraffes, elephants, orangutans and flamingoes at his estate ‘Neverland’.The vet is now suing Jackson because the singer still owes him money to the tune of 91,602 dollars. Dinnes’ lawyer, Brenton Horner said that the vet has filed the lawsuit with great reluctance.“(He) filed the lawsuit with great reluctance. He has a lot of admiration for Michael. This is just a business matter,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.A court hearing has been set for the 2nd of May in Santa Maria, California, where Jackson’s other highly publicized sex-abuse trial took place in 2005.

Maldivian Fashion Burugaa VS Islamic Hijab.

Moderate Islam is much the topic these days.So we all agree Islam is a practical and moderate religion (compared to those other divine religions..but not compared to noreligion-religion,or the new world religion or the vatican's satanist religion)... there is a difference between the saying.."Islam is a moderate religion"...and "a moderate version of Islam"...or 'Enlightened.

Nowadays in Maldives we see a lot of young girls wearing the burugaa...some are drug addicts and almost all get involved in illegal sexual acts...the traditional maldivian version of islamic hijab-burugaa,in dhivehi language- have been modified..every one tries out a different style...but i have found that the ones wearing these burugaaz are worse than the ones not wearing em (in some cases). But this does not mean every one wearing hijab is to be blamed for what some,or most of em do.

Another important point to note, when wearing hijab is...that it has to cover the whole body. to cover means..with opaque clothing..and not revealing the shape of the body (as most maldivians do it)...if it is ok to wear thight clothes with burugaa...the teletubbies are also wearing hijab....and this women (naked and body painted but wearing burugaa) is also wearing the islamic hijab... you can see her all naked..but ..her skin is covered (with paint)..whats the difference??? between her and a maldivian burugeez girl?If you call it an Islamic Hijab..it:::::

1.Must cover and conceal the whole body of her (except the face and hands).

2.The garments should not be so thin or transparent as to reveal her body.

3.The main garment must be a flowing one (ie;the women must avoid tight or clinging clothes which exaggerate or show her figure,or any part of it,such as breasts, legs and arms).

4.Muslim women, in order to safeguard their cultural identity ,are discouraged from imitating the dress of non-muslim women.

5.Inorder to maintain their feminine identity women are forbidden to imitate men in dress.

6.It is necessary to avoid clothes that attract the attention of others.

7.Wearing perfume on clothes either outdoors or when meeting strangers indoors should be avoidedand.

8.The dress of the muslim women must be clean and free from bad odour and dirt.

This is what the "islamic hijab" should be like..(well almost.) So if you think this is extreme gender discrimination..or something like that..just say no to isalm..just say Mohamed (PBUH) was an extremist and get lost!!!!

Nahulaa and CRY CRY movies
Nahulaa ..a famous dhivehi novelist ,..who turned out to be a movie director and now a co-producer who owns a studio. This lady have one strong weapon, which she uses to get her movies and stories to be a BIG HIT...That is the use of extremely emotional scenes..The common viewers for dhivehi movies have been women...(specially those in thier 30's)..so all she had to do is ...make e'm cry..to do this she put these scenes. Some of which wud harm any one psychologically...now what about our young generations?? The Academy of Pediatrics says “More than one thousand scientific studies and reviews conclude that significant exposure to media violence increases the risk of aggressive behavior in certain children, desensitizes them to violence and makes them believe that the world is a ‘meaner and scarier’ place than it is.” ...do we want this when the crime rates are increasing above levelgoing outta our reach now??now what about ... the hate these movies create???When the villain is shown in a nahulaic-dhivehi movie..the viewers are seen burning in hatred! One instance that brought the worry of violence in media is the Columbine incident. The two young men that committed this act of violence were said to have played numerous hours of violent video games. Their exposure to violence is said to have been the cause since the children involved in Columbine came from secure home environments with active parental influence. Now what about that?!Maldivian children dont grow up in very secure environments normally...but rather with broken families and a corrupt society!!!For Nahula and the likes of her the main idea is to play with the emotions of viewers. Do the sadistic pleasure seeking directors and producers of these movies want that the viewers should start crying from the begining onwards and if they are unable to shed enough tears when it ends. they should howl and scream nearing mid-night watching absolutely mindless and endless movie, ‘naaummeedhu’ . God knows which society or culture does these movies depict? Definitely, it has got nothing Maldivian in it.But it sure does add many problems into the Maldivian society.Especially to the problems within families...Many women do copy these movie characters when they face some family problems..and what we maldivians call 'fanihedhun' is also played within families...Children get emotional easily...More and more sterotypes are born...One is that 'dhon amaa vaanee dhon niyandhurakashey'..which roughly means that; not a single stepmother can be gud to her step chlidren..maybe these directors got the idea from the old fairytale Cinderella...Other streotypes include women are to cry in lonliness..now that these Maldivian directors are copying hindi teledrama series' it is common that a man is slapped on his face several times..but never responds..something like what oprah tries to create in our minds..men are violent ppl sometimes..but to make them care we dont need to create movies with women slapping on a man's face..what we need is understanding.Women do cry..but men too cry..we dont have to picture dat the only ppl who cry is women.More and more ppl..blame them selves easily and cry in lonliness...as the heroine in the movies do ....One of nahulaa'z latest movies..'zuleykhaa'..shows a horrible scene in a song...where a young girl is shown sleeping on a 'fahjehi endhu' or a traditional foldable bed. What happens next is that a relative..(i think it's the step mother this time also) pushes her off the bed..and the little girl fells on the ground weeping... the face of that women is shown to be full of anger (for that child)...now this is too much..Children are innocent and every one knows that. But when we show a child thrown off from her bed for nothing..whats the use of the loabivaashey loabidheyshey stuff?!!?? These are scenes that are to be censored too... its not only what the Mullahs at mathee majilis find out to be sexually arousing (what makes thier P**** jump)..that have to be censored!!!But anything that hurts our culture and the societies moral values! The viewers are forced to watch a xeroxed copy of the same idea...again and again. The story is just the same. Leave aside instruction and the message, the movies are totally devoid of any entertainment. The major part of these movies goes into ‘heynakathuge vaarey hen karuna elhun’ i.e. lamenting, wailing, sobbing and sighing. Be it a male or a female, every one is getting sentimental, ‘semi mental’, impulsive and irrationally and unbelievably emotional. Now nahula's new movie 'keikuraanan' -I shall rather show patience and wait (suffering from this pain..i guess)-is to be started soon after ramadan...Doing it in her own studio this Lady is supected to create more emotioanal stuff this time...she had said in an interview to haveeru that this time only two months from the day it starts; the movie would be complete and ready for premiere...this sure means it wud be yet another easy-to-make-crycry-movie.Sadly enough, there is total absence of wit and good humour which makes u at least chuckle if not laugh. ‘These movies should not be banned' . The viewers have a choice. If they don’t like them they dont watch em' argue the defenders of these movies. O.K. That means the movie makers or media in general have no social responsibility of giving a better choice to their viewers. only with this type of crycry movies released ,what choice an ordinary entertainment seeking viewer has? Making money , no doubt, is the obvious aim of these movies producers and the directors(specially nahulaa), but it should not be at the cost of society’s moral health. Just imagine the illiterate or semiliterate people who are unable to differentiate between right and wrong, or the young children with impressionable minds. With certain people tendency to do evil is comparatively stronger. Suggesting them ways and means which lead to crime can have devastating effects. What women in negative roles often do reflects not ordinary family jealousies , annoyance or hatred, but they commit hard core criminal punishable offences. The movie makers often claim that they teach Maldivian values. Which values these movies preach is a question I would like to ask the money thirsty movie makers? If they lack in creativity, they should read some good literature. They will get plenty of material and ideas. They should immediately stop copying the hindi 'kkusum like' serials..Then they will do a service to society by entertaining and educating people. That will be a reward by itself. ..even though my target this time is nahulaa.all dhivehi film directors , producers and government authuorities concerned ;should take notice of these issues and consider what is better for themselves and also for the Maldivian society in general.

Madonna To 'Pimp Her Ride'For new video...
Will Madonna come up with anything original in the 21st
century? Not content with ripping off ABBA; Madge is now ripping off MTV too...
Well, she is planning on copying the channel’s car make over show ‘Pimp My Ride’ on her new video.
Apparently the material girl is so fond of the show (despite no-one in her house ever watching TV) she plans to recreate it in her video for new single ‘Sorry’.
She will take an old Ford Cortina and transform it…the video will also feature a cameo appearance from the world’s worst hip hop DJ and wannabe, Tim Westwood.
A source told The Sun: "Madonna really loves the MTV show. She wanted to do a video with a rags-to-riches story, taking a battered old British banger and turning it into something special.
"Her record company contacted the MTV producers behind Pimp My Ride and they came up with a storyboard and car for the video."
Pay someone to think of some original ideas for you please!!!!!

Garam Masala

Almost close on the heels of a successful film titled Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, comedy king David Dhawan returns with a mega-starrer that promises loads of trademark David Dhawan masala. And for this movie he gets together with producer Vashu Bhagnani with whom he has always come up with hit films like ‘ Coolie No.1’, ‘Hero No.1’ and ‘Biwi No.1’.
As for the storyline, while Raj (Fardeen Khan) loves to paint the town red, Bhavana (Ayesha Takia) has a spiritual outlook. Whereas he wants fun 'n' frolic in the bed room, she prefers pooja paath in the prayer room.
Veer (Zayed Khan) likes to flirt and Diya (Esha Deol) is interested in acting. While Veer wants to play a flirt, the only role Diya will consider is the one in films.
Aryan (Sharman Joshi) is God’s gift to women wanting love, and Sonia (Soha Ali Khan) is a life line for women wanting divorce.
Meanwhile no one knew that three bomb shells Madhuri (Ria Sen), Dimple (Sophie Chaudhary) and Rekha (Arti Chabaria) will have an explosive blast with Raj, Veer and Aryan.
And most important of all is the ‘Kabab Mein Haddi’, Lucky Bhaiya aka Lukhwinder Singh (Sanjay Dutt). He adds spice to the perfect khichdi cooked by the guys and make their wives suspicious.
